Catch the Next firmly believes that student engagement contributes to student success. Helping students engage with campus life is especially important when students are new to the institution, as research shows that student attrition is most pronounced during and immediately after the first year. Former Texas Commissioner of Higher Education, Raymund Paredes, in his State of Higher Education Address, spoke of the need to make sure that students have extracurricular experiences that have embedded in them marketable skills and leadership training.
