Rosalinda Garcia has been named TAMIU’s first Vice President for Student Engagement.
García served as Vice President for Administration at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) in San Antonio. She has also been an Assistant Vice President of Student Life at OLLU. Before coming to OLLU, she was Assistant Dean of Students and Latino Cultural Center Director at Yale University in New Haven, CT.
Additional work experience includes posts at Columbia University, the University of Texas-San Antonio (UTSA) Hispanic Research Center, Universidad Nacional Autónoma De México in San Antonio, and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities in Washington, D.C.
García holds a Master’s degree, Ed.M., in Higher Education Administration from Columbia University, Teacher’s College; a Master’s, M.A., in Bilingual-Bicultural Studies from UTSA, and a Bachelor’s, B.A., in Mass Communications from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.
